Ingun Prüfmittelbau GmbH - the renowned company in the testing technology industry, headquartered in Germany has specialized in the production of electrical measuring, control, navigation and similar Instruments. The company serves customers in 68 countries and has established an international sales network. In addition to selling through its website, Ingun works with distributors (B2B) to sell its products globally. E-commerce activities include the website, online store and a product finder app.

The company's revised corporate identity and content strategy will be reflected in the digital presence in the future and will be more attractive and modern.

OUR TASK

The goal of the project was to build a headless e-commerce architecture to play out all e-commerce activities such as website, store, product finder app. As an internationally operating B2B company with a multilingual digital presence and a website in China, as well as the challenge of opening up further markets, the solution must be scalable. The backend had to be lean, simple and intuitive to learn. Print automation for the creation of the print annual catalog should be done via the new headless e-commerce architecture. The store should also include a B2B feature set.

THE IDEA

For the headless e-commerce architecture and the scalable solution in 4 languages, we rely on Shopware 6 Enterprise Edition. In order to optimally play out the Progressive Web App (PWA) with the Shopware e-commerce solution, Vue Storefront comes into play. For the mapping and enrichment of all product data and digital assets, a PIM system is implemented and integrated that enables data modulations, such as a product configurator. To map the individual and complex pricing structures, an ERP system is connected.
