LUXUS FASHION BRANDS PIERRE CARDIN & BALDESSARINI
OUR TASK
THE IDEA
Melanie Vogt, Director E-Commerce, Ahlers Vertriebs GmbH
THE IMPLEMENTATION
ALLGEMEIN
GENERAL
In order to meet the tight deadline, we worked with an external UX agency. To fulfil the high demands of our customers, we integrated our own plugins and specifically overwrote components. Picalike, as a "shop the look" application, was connected to radically improve the user experience.
With efficient project management and close collaboration with the Ahlers team, we successfully realized this project.
Our project setup consisted of PO (Scrummaster), Teamlead Tech, several Backend & Frontend Developers, QM and Dev Opts. On the Ahlers side, we had 4 employees at our disposal.

SHOPWARE 6 FRONTENDS
SHOPWARE 6 FRONTENDS
But why did we decide in favour of Shopware frontends in the first place? Quite clearly: the enormous flexibility of the headless approach. This allowed us to optimally fulfil the core topics of performance and user interface. Of course, this was associated with a certain amount of risk due to the early phase that Frontends is in. In the end, however, it paid off for our customer and for us. The simplicity of component-based development made it possible to meet this seemingly impossible deadline.

WOULD YOU ALSO LIKE TO IMPLEMENT A CHALLENGING PROJECT IN A SHORT SPACE OF TIME?
The long-planned bilingualism via country dropdown was implemented without discussion and there was no ticket ping-pong during the implementation phase because the QA from Netformic was simply right. We had discussed and committed to this beforehand. The board was actively served by all sides and ensured that all sides were able to act at all times."

THE RESULT
DISCLAIMER
Unfortunately, the Ahlers Group had to file for insolvency in the meantime. For no apparent reason, the new investor has discontinued all of the brands' e-commerce activities. As a result, all that remains of our shops are memories and a wealth of experience.
