OWN MARKETPLACE SOLUTION FOR MEMBERS

EURONICS - a retail group with over 1,200 members at around 1,294 locations throughout Germany. Always close to the customer, with personalised advice and the best service. 

Too many own online presences and different online shops of individual members dilute the image of EURONICS. The head office of EURONICS Deutschland eG would like to offer its members a future-proof "state of the art" solution that takes into account the complex structure of the buying group and generates value-adding benefits for the members (= retailers).

OUR TASK

To ensure its competitiveness EURONICS needed a digital solution for linking all relevant sales channels (cross-channel retail) with a focus on "drive-to-retail". The concept was to take into account the special features of the cooperating organisational form "cooperative". These include the independence and the right of the individual retailers to have a say, as well as the decentralised and stationary nature of the organisation. In addition, the retail and service portfolio of the specialist retailers has a very strong local or regional focus, so that there are no direct geographical competitive conflicts.

THE IDEA

A Shopware Enterprise marketplace is to be developed for the EURONICS headquarters, through which the specialist retailers can sell items from their own range at their own prices at euronics.de. The digital sales platform strengthens the retailers' bricks-and-mortar, local speciality shops through many "drive-to-retail" measures and services. The large, so-called XXL retailers benefit from individual subshops of the Shopware Enterprise solution. Each participating retailer is connected to the marketplace with its own merchandise management system in order to be able to display individual prices and stocks. Customers who visit the Shopware Enterprise marketplace are localised using GEO targeting based on FACT-Finder and assigned to local retailers within a defined area. In line with the co-operative concept, customers receive regional offers that are offered for delivery and collection ("drive-to-retail").
