CUSTOMER-CENTRIC WITH REGIONALLY FOCUSSED,
DIGITAL SERVICES
OUR TASK
The digital product catalogue concept is to be implemented so that the benefits of this customer card can also be used digitally. This solution is intended to optimise digital support for additional services and provide more detailed information. Globus was looking for an agency that could seamlessly integrate a product catalogue and the associated services based on Shopware into the usability of the website.
THE IDEA
By logging in to the product catalogue with their "My Globus customer card", customers will be able to add products to a shopping list that is individually linked to their customer account. As a further service, pre-orders for gift baskets and platters (e.g. sausage, cheese, meat or fish) will be carried out digitally. The product catalogue and pre-orders will be seamlessly integrated into the overall Globus service world.
THE IMPLEMENTATION
LOCALISATION & PERSONALISATION
For the multi-store concept, users must first be assigned to their shop. As soon as Globus customers log in, they are shown the availability and prices of the products in their favourite local department stores, depending on the location selected. All product data is transferred to FactFinder on a daily basis. With the help of the intelligent and personalised AI-supported FactFinder technology, recommendations and article lists were integrated into the shop. This simplifies the product search for the customer, as spelling, typing and phonetic errors are also changed with the help of a "similarity algorithm" so that the desired results always appear.
Customers fill their individual shopping list from the Shopware product catalogue. The customer checks off the shopping list via the Globus app or in the responsive product catalogue while shopping. Shelf position designations and store-specific site plans help customers to find their desired products quickly and in a route-optimised manner and to fill their shopping basket.
By integrating the Globus single sign-on service in Shopware, we have linked the "My Globus customer card" to the product catalogue.

CLICK & COLLECT SERVICE WITH PIMCORE
A special service that Globus offers its customers is the Click & Collect service aka Globus pre-order service for platters (fish, meat, sausage or cheese) and gift baskets. Together with the Globus team we developed a concept for the best possible digitalisation of this service. After an evaluation we decided in favour of Pimcore as a suitable IT tool. The various challenges included store and counter-specific preparation and collection times and the automatic consideration of public holidays. We implemented a suitable order management system via Pimcore in order to not only display the requirements in the frontend, but also to provide a centralised interface for each store in which the shop employees can view and manage the orders. Globus customers are supported by the platform when filling in the free text fields in the order form with regionalised instant suggestions.
Globus has been given a centralised store backend with store-specific access to orders and order services.
