dataTec AG, a leading specialist distributor of measuring and testing technology, has been expanding within Europe since 2018. The future-proof B2B online presence for the DACH region aimed to meet the following requirements:

1. DIGITAL STRATEGY

To begin with, we analyzed the status quo, target groups and the competitive environment of dataTec.
Goal: The personal service and expert knowledge were to be expanded digitally.
Result: A concept with recommendations for action for a content commerce platform that offers more than just a store functionality - it informs, advises and generates leads.

2. CX CONCEPT

Based on the strategy, the required functions were defined and located in the customer journey. With the help of user stories and a clear prioritization, a structured plan for an intuitive and efficient platform was created in order to seamlessly move on to the detailed concept and layout design for implementation.

3. STORE MIGRATION

The comprehensive migration to Shopware 6 provides a modern, powerful and stable platform for dataTec. Existing systems can be seamlessly integrated so that product data, customer data and stock displays are displayed accurately in the store. The front end was also redesigned for Shopware 6.

 4. SYSTEM INTEGRATION

The integration of Perfion (PIM), Microsoft BusinessCentral (ERP) and Dynamics (CRM) has made data management and synchronization seamless. Doofinder also ensures an optimized product search. The new infrastructure creates a reliable basis for growth and continuous optimization.

  • Intuitive main navigation: direct access to services, wiki and expert support. The “100 questions & 100 answers” section offers comprehensive information on measuring and testing technology.
  • Extended product detail pages: Technical data, downloads, seminars and equipment available from a single source. Customers can compare products, share shopping baskets and have them checked by dataTec experts.
