ABOUT BIKETEC GMBH

Biketec GmbH, a spin-off of the renowned FLYER AG, has its headquarters in Huttwil, Switzerland, and a branch in Elsenfeld, Germany, and specialises in the development and sale of smart technologies and equipment for e-bikes. With its FIT E-Bike System Integration technology, Biketec GmbH combines electronic components from various well-known manufacturers to create a "best-in-class" system.

With an extensive portfolio of currently over 600 products distributed in 20 countries, the company aims to provide comprehensive support to e-bike manufacturers, specialist dealers and consumers.

OUR TASK

As a newly founded company, Biketec decided to set up its own online shop, which is an ideal solution for responding effectively to the requirements of the specialised trade. The aim of the project was to create an online shop that would serve as a central touchpoint for Biketec and at the same time provide comprehensive information on products and training for e-bike retailers. The focus was to be on user-friendliness, a modern design and an authentic brand presence for Biketec.

THE IDEA

The new e-shop should enable users to find the products, services or information they want quickly and conveniently - regardless of the device they are using. After a thorough evaluation phase, Biketec opted for Shopware 6, a flexible e-commerce system that significantly simplifies the sale and management of e-bike components thanks to its API-first approach.

In our project for Biketec, we integrated a number of key functions into Shopware 6 to create an optimised e-commerce experience. A central element was the implementation of the experience worlds, which enables effective and straightforward management and editing of the shop pages. This function makes it easier to customise the layout and content, ensuring a coherent and appealing presentation of the online shop.

Another important aspect was the integration of the single sign-on service for specialist retailers, which is used on all Biketec GmbH digital tools. This gives specialist retailers quick and immediate access to orders and specific information, thus improving efficiency and user-friendliness for specialist retailers.

In addition, we have integrated five languages and eight countries into the shop to meet the requirements of international customers. This multilingualism ensures that the shop can appeal to a broader customer base and operate effectively in a global market.

The combination of an aesthetically pleasing layout and a user-friendly interface contributes significantly to customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

By integrating these features into Shopware 6, we were able to create an online shop for Biketec that is not only functional, but also visually appealing and easy to use, ensuring an optimal shopping experience for end users and retailers alike.

We are proud to have developed an e-shop that not only authentically represents the Biketec brand, but also offers customers a seamless shopping experience. The platform is characterised by fast loading times, comprehensive product information and a modern design. This project for Biketec shows that intelligent solutions and a customer-centred approach are the key to success in the dynamic world of e-bikes.
