THE IMPLEMENTATION
CONSULTING PHASE: STRATEGY & CONCEPTION
At the start of the project, we analysed the status quo and the company's needs from various perspectives, including company structure, target groups and competition. We then consolidated the objectives and defined the challenges. Our strategic analysis led to the conclusion that the personal contact of the dataTec sales force and the expert knowledge should be further developed and extended digitally. Our solution: moving away from a pure online store - towards a content commerce platform that sells, advises, arouses interest, informs and, above all, generates leads. To this end, we derived strategic recommendations for further action.
The next step was to concretise the features: What functions does dataTec need to implement the strategic recommendations? These functions were described in more detail with the help of user stories and located in the various touchpoints of the customer journey. They were evaluated and prioritised on the basis of business value and effort in order to seamlessly move on to the detailed concept and layout design for implementation.

CONTENT & COMMERCE WITH SHOPWARE 6
The front end was redesigned for Shopware 6. The conceptual focus was on the seamless connection of content and commerce. The aim was to present dataTec's consulting and service expertise online in the best possible way and to provide relevant content on the product. The existing content was put to the test, rethought and reasonably supplemented.
The main navigation offers direct access to services, an integrated wiki and direct expert advice. Users will find extensive content on the subpages, including a new section with 100 questions & 100 answers on measurement and testing technology. Product detail pages offer technical data, downloads, seminar offers and accessories. With Shopware 6, products can now be easily compared and shopping baskets can be shared with internal departments. In addition, shopping baskets can also be checked for feasibility by dataTec experts and recommendations can be obtained. The newly structured wiki provides users with comprehensive expert knowledge on the product portfolio.
The integration of Doofinder improves the search for products and solutions by optimising the presentation of complex products and filters. Existing systems such as Perfion (PIM), Microsoft BusinessCentral (ERP) and Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) were seamlessly connected.
